M.s. Yvonne Norman was born to the late Edith Mulligan on May 29,1951 and departed this earthly life on May 14, 2024 where she went on to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by family and friends in Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro, SC which is where she was raised. She loved and adored her grandparents whom she learned lots of great life lessons from, the late Henry and Clara Bell Mulligan of Walterboro, SC. She attended Walterboro High School in 1968 and later relocated to Brooklyn, N.Y. where she completed her education in 1984.
Yvonne received an Associates degree in finance and began her career as a bookkeeper.
Yvonne worked for Catholic Charities all while working her way up to become the supervisor. After working over 20 years she retired and returned home to South Carolina, where she spent her last days.
Yvonne had a love for crocheting, playing pity-pat with family and friends and her love for scratch-offs were unmatched. She loved to vacation and cruise upon the International waters. Her home was always open if you needed a place to stay or simply a hangout spot.
Yvonne, also known as “Bonnie” was preceded in death by her Husband James Love and Sister Desmond Mulligan.
Left to cherish her memories are three sons: Steve Mulligan (Monica) of Brooklyn, NY, Cliff
Norman (Tanea) and her adopted son Jadon Bostic of Walterboro, SC. One daughter, Kezia Norman of Brooklyn, NY, two brothers James Rivers (Janie) of Hampton, SC, and Kelly Mulligan of Jacksonville, FL. One sister Vivan Chisolm (Dion) of Brooklyn, NY, her grandchildren: Steve Jr, Blazin, Christopher, Lamark, Grant, Jerry, Kevin, Jada Nicole, Statasia, Kiltrice, Shade,
Brianna, Keyonna, Imonie and Makayla and her beloved great grandchildren: Mila, Melanie,
Miamore, Mavericks, Giannie, Renia. Nieces Joyce Scott (Jesse) Beaufort, SC. Tarnicia
Chisolm, Brooklyn, NY. Nephews Ronnie Chisolm of Mt. Dora, FL Montel Chisolm and Kasone
Clayton of Brooklyn, NY. Best friends: Yvette Harris of Brooklyn, NY Gina Grant of South Carolina and Joan Curze of North Carolina and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and family and friends.
