Willie "Mae" Holmes

Mrs. Willie B. Hampleton-Holmes, the daughter of the late Eddie Hampleton was born on January 23, 1928 in Round O, South Carolina. She departed this life on May 28, 2023 at her home in Walterboro, South Carolina.

At an early age, she left her hometown of Round O, South Carolina for the big city of New York.

Wille B. or "Mae", as she was affectionately known, graduated from the Nurse's Aid Training Academy in Brooklyn, New York on July 9, 1970.

She joined the Greater Bibleway Church in the early 1970's, where she became a lifelong member until she returned to South Carolina in 1994.

Mae" had a stong passion for sewing and tailoring.  She was also an excellent cook.

"Mae" met the love of her life Clarence Holmes and shortly thereafter, the two were joined in holy matrimony on May 30, 1958. He proceeded her in death along with two her two sons.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter of New York City, three sisters of South Carolina, three brothers two in South Carolina and one in Washington, DC. Six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
