Timothy Washington Obituary

Mr. Timothy “Timbo” Washington was born February 1, 1961, in Walterboro, SC. Born the only child to his parents Cynthia Charity and Charles Campbell, who both preceded him in death. He was called home on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, after a brief illness at home, in Walterboro, SC.  He was raised in the home of his devoted maternal grandmother Mrs. Mary M. Dukes-Washington-Grant who preceded him in death, his Paternal Grandparents were Pink Campbell Sr. and Alice Haynes Campbell who also preceded him in death.  

Timothy was educated in the Public Schools of Colleton County.  In later years he made his home life between South Carolina and Patterson, New Jersey.  He returned to South Carolina in August 2021, to reside with his family in Walterboro and around Colleton County.  Timothy was self-taught in his skills as a mechanic from a very young age and when he was not underneath a vehicle, he worked in masonry. 

Timothy leaves to cherish his precious memories: His Loving loyal supportive devoted companion and caregiver Ms. Lynda Tobin; His stepfather Mr. James Charity, His children D. Kristy Jeanette Washington of Walterboro, Bobby L. T. Washington of Columbia, SC, and Tashama “Peaches” Cunningham (Reared as his daughter) of NY. His Aunts and uncles (who were more his siblings because they were reared together) Annie M. E. Siders (Franklin, NJ), Jayanti Pernelle Washington-Stephens, Pamala A. White (James), Harriett L. Washington-Grant, Rosemary Grant-Robertson (Lester), Aunts  Reatha Campbell, and Linda Campbell; (uncle/brother) Johnnie L. Washington, Uncles Pink E. Campbell, Dave Campbell, Julius Campbell, Phillip Campbell, and James Smith . (cousin/brother) Shaun Grant; Preceding him in death were (aunt/sister) Sonya L. Grant-Smith, (baby sister/cousin) Kimberly K. Grant-Robertson, Aunts Maguerite Campbell, Daisy Campbell,  Mary J. Campbell, and Betty A. Campbell, (uncles/brothers) Ronald “Bobby” Washington, and James E. “Joe Pete” Washington, Uncles Herbert Campbell, Clint Campbell, and Modiah Campbell.  A number of Grand and great-grandchildren, and a myriad of caring cousins, nieces, and nephews. Special cousins Donna Simone Grant, Elizabeth & David Brown, Albert Siders and (preceding him in death) Terrence Siders, A close friend and buddy John “Sonny” White of Walterboro, SC and Zeke of Patterson, NJ. And an estrange wife Beverly Cunningham of NY.
