Samuel Drayton

On Wednesday, September 20, 2025 at 12 O'clock in the afternoon, Brother Samuel Drayton was called home to be with the Lord.

Brother Samuel was born on December 13, 1949 on Heyward Plantation to the late Mr. Cleveland (Reuben) Drayton, Sr. & Eva Pencile Drayton. He recieved his formal education in the Colleton County School District.

He enlisted in the United States Army and was station in Manheim, Germany. Upon his return home from Germany, he joined Ebenezer C.M.E. Church in White Hall, South Carolina. 

He was first married to Emily Prioleau and to this union one son was born and a second union to Helga Drayton and to that union another son was born. Three siblings proceeded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories; two sons Keith Addul Drayton of Tucson, Arizona and David Drayton of Manheim, Germany

2 step daughters (Vanica) Vanessa Prioleau of Stockbridge, Georgia and Jessica Drayton of Augusta, Ga. Four brothers and three sisters

Reverend Leon (Elizabeth Drayton) Minister Cleveland (Georgia) Drayton, Richard (Sarah) Drayton, Richmond (Lizzie Maree) Drayton, Elizabeth Drayton Wilson, Eva Mae Drayton Best and Ethel Drayton Brown ONe sister in law Betty Green Drayton, twelve gandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends
