The Life Story
Mr. Ron Anthony Gant, affectionately known as "Chico", the son of the late Mr. Howell and Mary Ann Gant was born on August 17th, 1966 in Walterboro, South Carolina.
Ron was educated in the public school system of Colleton County.
Ron was employed with Rogers and Son for many years. He also worked at Cleland Construction until his health declined.
Ron started his Christian journey at Hickory Hill Baptist Church. He later joined and served at Judah Temple of Deliverance until his health failed.
On Friday, July 2, 2021, Ron answered the call of his heavenly father, transitioning from mortal into mortality. He received his "heavenly wings".
Ron was united in Holy Matrimony to Lena Thompson Gant on May 15, 1991. With this unit, GOD blessed him with 4 daughters and 2 adopted sons.
Proceeding him in death are one brother Johnny Howell Gant and one granddaughter Qua'Daisha Rivers.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife Lena Gant, his four daughters Shannon Fishburne, Tameko (Marlo) Varner, Marquita (Shelton) Whitaker all of Walterboro, SC and Kourtney Fishburne of Clermont Florida. Two adopted sons Giovanni Terry of Baltimore, MD and Christopher Wilson of Walterboro, SC One brother Larry Gant of Round O, SC Two sisters Teresa Gant and Sarah Glover of Summerville, SC. Twenty grandchildren. One special son Breyone Spell and one special daughter Fantasia Smith. Four Aunts Mary Ruth Perry, Ellie Gant, Catherine Smith and Ella Mae Fulks. Two Uncles, Richard Gant and Joe Gant. Three God children, six brother in laws, six sister in laws and a host of loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
