Mr. Roland Owens was born on December 27, 1973 in Walterboro, South Carolina to the late Virginia Owens. He transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday January 10,2026 at Jolly Acres Nursing Home in Orangeburg, South Carolina
Roland was raised by his aunt and uncle, Lillie and Gilbert Owens who proceeded him in death. During this time, he was taught the fundamental values of work ethic that would carry him to many walks of life. He learned the trade of brick mason alongside his brothers (Gilbert, Jessie, James, Johnny and Rodney) who preceded him in death
Roland was a huge fan of football. His favorite team was the San Francisco 49ers. Those who knew him, know that he spoke highly of those 49ers every chance he had to. To know Roland was to love him. he had a smile that could change the moon to the sun. He never met a stranger because he would talk to any and everyone.
Roland leaves to cherish his fond memories son, Roland Owens, Jr. Mayfield, Illinois, brother George Ownes, Chicago, Illinois, and sister, Rolanda Owens-Gadson (Kelis) Columbia, South Carolina.
