Rickey Kirkland Obituary
Mr. Rickey Donnell Kirkland, the son of Lizzie Marie Drayton and the late Mr. Louis Smith was born July 29, 1965 in Colleton County.
Rickey departed this life August 21, 2021 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. Rickey was affectionately known as "Slick Rick" by many. He was a graduate from Walterboro High School Class of 1984.
Rickey started his career working at Winn Dixie then Bi-lo grocery stores followed by New York Wire and most recently was the Vocational Rehabilitation in Walterboro, South Carolina
Rickey was preceded in death by his grandmother and sister Angie Renee Harris.
Rickey will be missed by his mother Lizzie M. (Richmond) Drayton, Three brothers Eric (Tammie) Kirkland of Savannah, Ga, Marshall Lamont Kirkland of Walterboro, SC and William Reginald (Natalie) Sanders of Atlanta Ga. Two Aunts Elizabeth Kirkland and Emma (Joseph) Levine of Walterboro, SC. Cousins Wanda (Craig) and Fred (Omar) Kirkland of Walterboro, SC and host of other relatives and friends.
