Mother Mary Lee Griffin a daughter of the late Tom Bozier and Laura Bozier was born on August 20, 1934 in Holly Hill, South Carolina. A devoted caregiver, beloved family member and faithful servant passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on March 16, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
Mother Mary was educated in the public school system in Holly Hill, South Carolina. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Willie Griffin, Sr. She worked as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) at Oakwook Nursing Home, where she touched countless lives with her compassion, patience and dedication. Caring for others was not her profession but a true reflection of her kind and giving spirit.
Above all, she loved her family deeply. She found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved, creating memories filled with laughter and warmth that will be cherish forever. Mother Griffin love her gospel music. She was the mother of Sand Hill. Baptist Church and dedicated member of her church.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Willie Griffin, Sr. A daughter, Wille Mae Wright and Three sons, Larry Griffin, Jerome Griffin and Willie Griffin, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories six daughters: 1st Lady Oree (The late Bishop Orin) Gregg of Charleston, SC, Geraldine (Benjamin) Doyle of Summerville, SC, Dorothy Ford of Walterboro, SC, Patricia (Joseph) Hallman and Linda (Jerome) Risher both of Smoaks, SC and Lisa Daniels of Walterboro, SC. A grandson raised in the home Kenyon Grffin. A total of 28 grands, 63 great grands, 10 great great grand. 1 sister in law Dazeltta Gaines of Miami, Florida. A special sister in law Marquerite Gillespie (now deceased) Very close friends, Corrie Cooper, Margaret Brown, Virgina Morris and Mattie Edwards and Hattie Rachel Chisolm. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
