Melvin "Milky" Way was born on January 3, 1954 in Smoaks, SC to the late Wilford Way Sr. and Flossie Lee Hubbard. He departed this life on Sunday, February 4, 2024 in Summerville, South Carolina.
Melvin was educated in Brooklyn, NY, where he worked as a machinist, as well as musician and artist. Music was his life, playing in different bands such as Cameo, BT Express, Crown Height Affair, Future 2000, East Coast and many more. Later in life, he expressed his love of art, becoming a world known marvelous artist. His artwork is shown all over in Manhattan, NY. You would have to stand in line and make appointments to see his work.
