Mary Lane Farmer Wilson was born to the late Ervin and Ruby Farmer on June 10, 1943; she entered eternal rest on July 17, 2021, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, SC.
After being educated in the public school of Colleton County, SC, she went on to work for the Colleton County court system until she retired. She joined Saint John A.M.E. Church, Cottageville, SC at an early age, faithfully serving on the usher board, and later moved on to join Faith Church, Walterboro, SC.
Mary was preceded in death by four brothers James Farmer, Charles Farmer, Glenn Farmer, George Farmer, and one sister, Deloris Farmer. She was loved dearly and will be deeply missed by her remaining four siblings: sisters Katherine Hyde of Aberdeen, NC, Jean (Robert) Cunningham of Walterboro, SC, Linda Farmer of Jacksonville, FL, and her brother Harris Farmer of Cottageville, SC.
She leaves behind four children to cherish her memories: Robert (Senekita) Farmer of Walterboro, SC, Kathleen F. Harrison of Lawrenceville, GA, Cornelius (Tabitha) Wilson of Summerville, SC, and Jerome Stacy (Alexandra) Wilson, Overland Park, KS. Her life was blessed with fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren are Travis Lott and Brandon Lott of Orangeburg, SC, Ronjrel Farmer of Walterboro, SC, Alicia Mincey of NC, Kayla and Alexis Mincey of Walterboro, SC, Ashley (Allen) Deal of Alexandra, VA, Tierra Farmer of Aiken, SC, Cierra (Juawn) Middleton of Covington, GA, Cornelius Wilson Jr. “CJ” of Goose Creek, SC, Deja ( EJ) Simmons of Colorado Springs, CO, Alfred Gregg ll of NC, Tashina White of Summerville, SC, Talysa Wilson of Lexington, SC and Ezra Wilson of Overland Park, KS.
Additionally, her bountiful family includes four sisters-in-law, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Her four sisters-in-law are Virginia Farmer of Cottageville SC, Lula Mae Farmer of Walterboro, SC, Willie Mae Bailey of Jacksonville, FL, and Rebecca Farmer of Walterboro, SC. The family would also like to acknowledge Mary’s many friends (too many to list). She loved people and greatly valued her many friendships
