Louis Edwards Sr.

Louis Edwards Sr. son of the late Bernice and Anderson Edwards, was born on July 23, 1959 in Walterboro SC. Louis who was affectionately known as “Sweet Lou”  graduated from Walterboro High. He was a dedicated Christian, husband, father, brother, and friend. He enjoyed playing softball, cooking, crabbing, and playing horseshoes.

Louis was a dedicated member of Rock of Ages CME Church. He left an impact on everyone he came in contact with. He was employed and retired with Hightower construction company INC.

 On August 5, 2022 at Colleton Medical Center Walterboro he entered his eternal rest. He is proceeded in death by his mother Bernice Edwards, his father Anderson Edwards, two brothers, Moody Edwards & Johnny Ray Edwards, one sister, Gloria Boatwright, and one granddaughter, Lailah Edwards.

 He leaves to cherish, his beautiful wife of 38 years, Doris Edwards, his beautiful children, Louis Edwards (Alicia), Imani Edwards (Jykell) Lavondre Edwards all of Walterboro SC.

His siblings, James Edwards of SouthBeury CT, Katherine Keys of Washington DC, Dyann Chisolm (Dec. James) of Cottageville SC, Glenda Murray, Mattie Edwards, Cynthia Mays (Tommy) All of Walterboro SC, Timothy Ruth (Melissa) of Chesapeake VA, Ronnie Bodison of Walterboro SC. Three grandchildren, Brisc’lynn Felder-Edwards of Charlotte NC, Kimell Vernado of Aiken SC, Lauryn Edwards of Walterboro SC. Two brother in-laws, Weston Bodison III of Walterboro SC, Roy Brown of Charleston SC. Two sister in-laws, Jaqueline Shider of Walterboro SC, Ida Lloyd (Stacy) of Ehrhardt SC. An Aunt Beverly Edwards, God daughter Monique Boatwright, a special niece, Diegra Bodison and a special nephew, Kemp Shider

Two special friends, Thelma Bryan (Bill) of Walterboro SC, Larry Bodison of Walterboro SC. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
