Louis Brown Obituary

Mr. Louis Ezel Brown, aka "Uncle Lou" was born June 9, 1948 in Walterboro, SC to the late Walter Brown, Sr. and Lillie Mae Smalls-Brown. He transitioned into eternal rest on September 19, 2019 at Colleton Medical Center. Louis attended Colleton Training School and was a skilled carpenter until his health failed. He also worked at USC Salkehatchie and Colleton Regional Hospital as head security guard. 

Lois was the tenth of eleven children of which six preceded him in death: Elliott Mosley, Samuel Brown, Inez Brown-Colleton, Martha Brown-Scriven, Walter Brown, Jr and Rose Mary Brown. Also preceding him in death, his loving and devoted wife, Deloris Clark-Brown, and a great grandson Jerome Wotten, IV.

At a early age, he joined Rock of Ages CME Church and accepted Christ into his life. During his tenture at Rock of Ages, he served on the Trustee Board and Usher Board. IN his early years, Louis loved playing baseball. In his later years, he enjoyed watching wrestling on Monday & Tuesday nights. He was a huge Carolina Panthers Fan. Those who knew Uncle Lou loved him; and many will truly miss him.

Louis leaves to cherish his fond memories two sons: Matthew Heyward and Douglass Clark of Walterboro, SC. four grandchildren: Emari Clark, Douglas Clark, Jr and Lee Andrew Clark of Topeka, Kansas and Jaquasia Clark of Walterboro, SC. four sisters: Mary Skeet Brown, Betty Brown, Janie VanDyke and Lille Pearl Sally all of Walterboro, SC; a devoted niece and his caregiver: Delores Owens; one nephew (raised as a brother) Roy Lee Brown, a great-great nephew: Jayden Amire Way, who he loved dearly, a very special friend: Deloris Haynes; along with numerous neices, nephews, relatives and friends.
