Lizzie Marie Drayton

Lizzie Marie Drayton, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, was born on February 25, 1950, to James Kirkland and Mary McMillon. She departed this life on September 21, 2025, surrounded by love ones.

Lizzie was known for her warmth, energy, and joy. She worked diligently in domestic service, where her kindness and strong spirit touched the lives of many. Outside of work, Lizzie was truly the life of the party—her laughter, stories, and vibrant presence filled every room she entered.

She will be remembered for her love of family and her ability to bring light and laughter to those around her.

Lizzie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was proceeded in death by her son Ricky Kirkland , daughter Angela Sanders and siblings.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband Richmond Drayton, Three children, Horace (Tammie) Kirkland, Marshall Lamont Kirkland, William (Natalie) Reginald Sanders of Atlanta, Georgia, In laws Elizabeth Kirkland Josiah Levine of Walterboro, SC, Reverend Leon (Elizabeth) Drayton, Minister Cleveland (Georgia) Drayton, Richard (Sarah) Drayton, Elizabeth Drayton Wilson, Eva Mae Drayton Best  Ethel Drayton Brown and Betty Green Drayton and host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
