Juan Haynes Sr.

 Mr. Juan Haynes son of Maggie Haynes Maree and the late George Haynes was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 26, 1946 and entered into eternal rest January 27th, 2025.

Juan was educated in the Colleton County school system. After graduating from high school in 1965 Juan spent 3 years in New York before meeting and marrying his wife, Pauline Haynes from Round O, SC March 2th, 1968. From this union 3 children were born, Juan retired in 2007 after 39 years of employment at Asten Hills (Asten Johnson) of Walterboro, SC. Juan became a member of St John AME church early in his life and served many years until his health began to fail. During his service at St John AME Juan was a part of the men’s choir and served as Treasurer.

Juan was a loving family man. He had a great sense of humor and he loved to help others. He was a man of many talents, farming, carpentry, barber, machinist, handyman, and above all he was a caring friend.

Juan leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving wife of 56 years, Pauline Haynes, 3 children Juan Q Haynes (Jennifer) Fayetteville GA, Rewa Milton (Wil) North Augusta SC and Travis Haynes (Alicia) Sumter SC, Mother, Maggie Haynes Maree Walterboro SC, Two sisters Owillinda Steward (Benjamin) Ruffin SC and Cynthia Marcus Cottageville SC, one brother John Pridgeon Opa Locka FL, Grandchildren Karianna, Jonathan, Noah, Charley, Ashley, Jasmine, Maurice, Stepanie, Kam’ryn, Ethan, one great grandchild JaSyah, and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, nephews, aunt, uncle, cousins, family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father George Haynes and brother Hawthorne Haynes.
