Joann Martino Frazier, the eldest of four children, was born on May 31, 1952 to the late Joseph and Gertrude Murray Martino. Being a devoted woman great faith and courage, she fought with valor to remain here with us, but when her body became faint, her spirit grew stronger and departed this life at Colleton Medical Center on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 9:00am. Before her demise on Friday February 5, 2021, she gave a soul stirring testimony to everyone who called or visited about how the Lord revitalized her body and soul which was only preparation for her journey to her heavenly home.
Her Christian experience began at Saint Luke United Methodist Church. She dedicated her life to the Lord during her early years. She took great pride in living and working for the Lord. She shared her musical gifts talents with various ministries in Summerville and Charleston, South Carolina. She is currently a member of Community Prayer Life Center with Pastor Daron Shuler and Co-Pastor Stacie Shuler.
Joann was educated in public schools of Dorchester County, where she graduated from Williams Memorial High School in 1970. She was a self-taught beautician, songstress, an excellent cook and helpmate for elder people. Her outgoing personality which won the hearts of people everywhere was one of her greatest assets.
Her experience was very extensive, which span over 45 years. Ultimately, she was granted an opportunity to join American General Life Insurance Company where she excelled to national recognition fornher superior sales ability.
She leaves to cherish her legacy; two loving and supportive sons Cedric J. (Sylvester) Frazier and Chauncey Frazier; three loving sisters Loretta Anderson, Clarissa M. (Ralph) Jenkins, Gerlien (Lawrence) Harrison Two aunts Deaconess Ebenezer M. Wade and Mrs. Bertha Salley, a beloved extended family Gloria Jones, Perry Frazier and Harriet Garrick, an awesome friend Bertha Murray and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
