Henrietta Myers

           Ms. Henrietta Myers, the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Samuels Myers, was born on November 27, 1951 in Jacksonboro, SC. On the dawn of February 28, 2020  she transitioned from earth to glory.

            Home going services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 beginning at 11:00 am, Saint Center Ministries, 106 Colson Street, Walterboro SC. Interment will be at Eastside Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 2020 at Harold Frazier Mortuary from 1-7 pm. 

           Henrietta was a lifelong resident of Walterboro and was educated in the Colleton County public schools and was in the graduating class of 1970 from Colleton High school. Henrietta wasn’t a stranger to work and was employed by Exxon Chemicals of Summerville, SC for many years.

            Ms. Myers had an infectious personality. To know her was to love her. Even though laughter, clever and witty best describes her, she always reverenced God. She received her spiritual teaching from the former Faith Temple, later known as Adams Memorial Temple, under Mother Eleanora Adams and Dr. Joan Youmans. In the year of 2008, she became a faithful and devoted member of the Judah Temple of Deliverance. She never desired to be upfront, but her presences on the front row with her suit, hat and smile inspired many. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Any and every kind of conversation ended with a smile.

            Henrietta’s life was surrounded by many very outspoken people but she spoke out differently. She seemed soft spoken to some, but her actions and deeds spoke louder than words. Always willing to lend a helping hand. She was a teacher in here own right. Teaching many lessons to those she came in contact with in a way that only Henrietta Myers can.

            A legacy of love and the fondest of Memories are left to her children; Bishop B. Anthony Myers of Walterboro, SC, Andrea Renee (Curtis) Anthony of Goose Creek, SC and Chaela Nicole Myers of Walterboro, SC. Her grandchildren, whom she loved to death, Achille “Money” Fils, Jamari Myers, Malik Myers, and Jamiya Myers all of Walterboro, SC. Siblings; Osbourne B. Samuels of Charlotte, NC, Cleveland (Darlene) Myers of Danville, VA, Betty Deal of Walterboro, SC and a sister-in-love Helen Ackerman of Charlotte, NC. Best friends, who were like sisters, Mary “Squeakie” White, Stephanie McMillan, and Martha Joe Mitchell. She will be remembered warmly by her nieces and nephews, her Judah Temple family, the Cleveland Street community and many friends.
