Hazel Sanders Obituary

“The Lord is my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps
for you, and I praise him. The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of
salvation for his anointed one. “ (Psalm 28:7-8)

Hazel Yvone Sanders earned her wings and transitioned peacefully into eternal
rest on April 23, 2024, after a long illness. Hazel fought a long courageous battle
before succumbing to her illness.

Hazel was born on March 30, 1957, in Savannah Gorgia. She grew up in
Walterboro (Blue House), SC with her adopted parents Foloman and Beatrice
Brown her aunt and uncle. Hazel was the joy of their life, and she was loved and
cherished by them.

Hazel was united in Holy Matrimony to Marion Sanders in 1986. Through this
union Dishon Sanders was adopted by them. Hazel took care of Marion during
his illness until his death.

Hazel was a hard-working businesswoman; she managed her business after the
passing of her husband Marion Sanders on her own. After many years of
working, she decided it was time to retire and enjoy life.

Hazel was a loving mother to Dishon (Sean) Sanders. Sean was her pride and
joy; she lovingly and faithfully took care of Sean after he became ill until his
death. Hazel loved making people laugh and always telling jokes. She was a very good
cook and enjoyed gardening, growing fruits and vegetables, fishing and cooking
her catch of the day in her leisure time.

Hazel leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Crystal (Kit) Booker (Chesapeake
Beach MD.), her nieces Lauren Daye (Odenton MD), Melody Dotson (Palm
Coast FL), one nephew Brian Booker Daye (Chesapeake Beach MD), two aunts
Cleo White (Beaufort SC), and Sarah Littlejohn (Beaufort SC), special cousins
Janie and Daniel Walton (Beaufort SC) and many other cousins and friends.

precious son Dishon Sanders (Walterboro SC). Her mother (Ethel Booker
