Harry "Sonny" Weans

Mr. Harry L. Weans known as (Sonny) was born on September 21,1946 to the later Mr. Frank Weans, Sr. and Mrs. Redella Adams Weans in Colleton County. He transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday, March 12, 2026 in Walterboro, South Carolina. 

At an early age, he was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Harry was a graduated of Ruffin High School, Class of 1964 and a 1966 graduate of Denmark Technical College with a degree in barbering. 

Harry was a master barber at Johnny's Barber Shop in Brooklyn, New York. He later partnered with Loretta Roundtree in Brooklyn, New York to opened the Creative House of Styles

He was married to Denise Power. In 2014, Harry retired and relocated back home to South Carolina. 

He was preceded in death by his father Mr. Frank Weans, Sr. and mother Redella Adams Weans; One brother Harvey Jerome Weans.

He leaves to cherish his memory; one son, Tristan Weans and one daughter Tiffany Magwood, Three brothers; Bishop Frank (Martha) Weans, Mr. Johnny (The late Margaret) Weans and Mr. Lawrence (Flossie) Weans. A host of nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins and other relatives. Two best friends, Mr. Ronald Wade and Andrew Simmons.
