Freddie Brown, Jr Obituary

Freddie Brown Jr departed this life on Monday September 16, 2019 at MUSC in Charleston, SC due to a sudden illness.

Fred was born on December 16, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Freddie Lou Brown and Thelma Rebecca Cobb Brown. He was educated in Brooklyn, NY and attended Food & Maraton High School studying to be a chef. Fred's passion was basketball; he played on many teams and in many tournaments.

In 1974-1978, he moved to South Carolina and attending Denmark Technincal College. He worked an array of jobs throughout South Carolina: Mullins, Dillon, Marion and his present job was at Mountaire Corporation in Lumberton, North Carolina. 

He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories his stepmother Carolina Brown of Walterboro, SC. Ex wife Elizabeth Bristow of Marion, SC. Children, Latoyia Williams of Walterboro, SC and Crystal Bristow (stepdaughter) of Rock Hill, SC. Three grandchildren: DahNee, Lorenzo and Ryan Hall all of Walterboro, SC One step granddaughter Grace Troy of Rock Hill, SC. Siblings; Brenda Brown of Brooklyn, NY, Gregory Brown of Walterboro, Eric (Linda) Brown of Marion, SC and Noneishia (Sean) Brown of Walterboro, SC; Aunts; Dorothy Taylor and Alvenia Brown of Walterboro, SC and Bessis Jamison of Brooklyn, NY; Uncles; Thomas Cobb and Leon Cobbs of Walterboro, SC: special cousins,  Charles Eric Jamison, Kelvin Jamison, Kenny Jamison, Darryl Benson and a host of neices, nephews, other relatives and friends

Funeral Services were held on Saturday 1:00pm at the Chapel of Harold Frazier Mortuary 300 Francis Street Walterboro, SC 29488. Interment: Eastside Memorial Gardens, Walterboro, SC
