David Lee Gadson

Mr. David Lee Gadson was born July 12, 1951 in Cottageville, SC to the late Eugene and Janelle Smalls Gadson. He entered into eternal rest Friday December 13, 2024. Mr. David Gadson was educated in public schools of Colleton County, South Carolina.

At an early age David joined Mt Zion AME church in Round O, SC.  Later on, in life David married Carolyn King Gadson where they had two wonderful children and a cousin they raised as their own son.

 Mr. David work many years at the Colleton County School District as a grounds man and a custodian until he retired.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn King Gadson, a sister Leone Fields and one brother Louis Smalls.

He leaves to cherish in his memories his children Regina Gadson (Marvin), David Gadson (Siani), Jerry Murray (Michelle). Two Goddaughters Sandra Dash (Willie) and Lori Smalls. One sister Rosa lee Brock of Cottageville and One Brother Eugene Gadson of Texas, Three sister in-law’s Flossie Powell, Rosa Green, Ruth King all of Cottageville SC. Two aunts Dorthy Gadson, Meredith Gadson all of Walterboro SC. Six Grandchildren Ky’Aire Branch, Ja’Karson Branch, Mirakle Branch, Clance Murray, Jenny Murray, Michale Murray. Special nephews Melvin Powell, Tony King, Addison Mark King, Keyon Williams. Special niece Shafonda Green. Special Cousin Edward Smalls. Friend James Stevens and a host of family and friends.
