Charlie Grant Stanfield affectionately known "Charlie Wine" the son of Mrs. Louise Frazier Stanfield-Jordan and the late Mr. Lonnie Stanfield was born April 2, 1957 in Walterboro, SC. He departed this life on Friday June 23, 2023 at Summerville Medical Center in Summerville, SC.
"Charlie Wine" attended the public school system of Colleton County. He enjoyed playing basketball and was one of the best half court shooters on the team. When he crossed the half court line and shot he hit "nothing but net" His shot was was so silky smooth and the ball would spin i went threw the nets. Charlie was employed with Nettles Construction company until his health failed.
He was proceeded in death by his father Lonnie Stanfield and one sister Bessie May Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving Mother Louise Jordan of Walterboro, South Carolina; two brothers Clarence (Janet) Stanfield of Hampton, Virginia and Lonnie Stanfield, Jr. of Walterboro, South Carolina; Two sisters Rose Stanfield and Jenny Stanfield of Walterboro, South Carolina (four bonus siblings who grew up like a sister) Audrey (Ralph) Polite, Juanita Harvey, Peggy Mitchell and Darlene Bowman One niece; Akela Dogbe, (Kelali) Nephews; Clarence Stanfield, Jr. Richard (Nekeysha) Stanfield, Leonard Stanfield, Darrell Stanfield, Lyndell and Dominique Jones, seven great nieces and six great nephews. Special friends Ledell Fields, Dorean Folks, Doris Folks, Frankie Davis, Helen Mitchell and a special cousin Linda Griffin and a host of other relatives, family members and friends
