Cathy Rene Wright Tracy, lovingly known as Cat, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025 surrounded by love and peace. She was 68 years old.
Born on September 22, 1957 in Bartow, Florida to Bernice McGrady and Alexander Green. Cathy lived a life rooted in love, strength, and quiet grace. She was the heart of her family — a source of comfort, laughter, and unwavering support. Her home was always a place where others felt welcomed, fed, and cared for. Cathy was a 1975 graduate of Auburndale Senior High School in Polk County, Florida.
Above all, she cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, niece and cousin. Her love was constant and unconditional, expressed through warm hugs, thoughtful advice, and countless sacrifices made without hesitation. She taught her children the value of kindness, resilience, and showing up for one another.
Cathy found joy in watching movies, crafting, telling jokes, family gatherings, and playing games. Her heart and soul were devoted to teaching. For 16 years, she faithfully served as an educator at Colleton County Academy Child Care Center, where she taught children from infancy through 12 years of age. She deeply loved the children and found great joy in nurturing them and sharing moments of laughter and fun. She had a way of making ordinary moments feel special and memories feel lasting.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice McGrady and brother Eddie McGrady.
She is survived by her loving father Alexander Green, brothers and sisters; Tracy McGrady, Sr., Rosalyn Wheeler(Jonny), Germaine Green, Alexander Green, Jr., Julian Green, Nuique Green; children, Shauntay Davis Libson(Christina), Diane Libson(Starsky), Phyderica Holt(Quintez) along with her grandchildren; Brittany Young(Corbin) Jeniah Young, Deaveius Willis, Justin Anglin, Shyrah Lisbon, Carrenton Wright, Abigail Holt and Quintez Holt, Jr.; great grandchildren; Adrian Samuel, Hazlee Anglin, Corinthian Anglin.
