Carrie Mae Lawton

Carrie Mae Lawton the youngest daughter of the late Ben Aaron Lawton and Ella Newton Lawton Was born September 10, 1952 in Colleton County. Carrie was educated in the public schools of Colleton County.

Carrie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Carrie spent 20 plus years driving bus for Colleton County which she loved dearly. She loved talking and laughing with her friends and family.

On July 31,2024 Carrie entered into eternal rest at Ridgeland Nursing Home. She has left a void on this earth; however, her portrait of life shall live forever in our hearts. She was proceeded in death by her mother Ella Newton-Lawton, her father Ben Aaron Lawton, sister Barbara Goff, three brothers Cellus Lawton, Joseph Lawton, Albert Lawton and two grandchildren, Kendrick Lawton and Harmony Fennell.

She leaves to cherish her memories five Children Lennon (Gloria) Lawton, Lakeesha Lawton, Rutosha Lawton, Shonda Lawton, Tony Fennell grandchildren, Keshawn Venning, Tobias Venning, Kiondra Edwards Zora Jamison, Lashombre Johnson, Toni Lewis, Lennon Lawton Jr, Thomas Lawton, Robert Lawton, Bryson Williams, Sister Nadine George, sister-in-law Reba Lawton and a host of nieces, nephews along with other family and friends.
