Aurelia Smalls was born on December 9, 1950 to the late Lorene Marbury- Rogers and late James Marbury internal rest on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at her home.
Aurelia attended public school. She was employed at U.S. post office and then a bank in Connecticut. She married the love of her life Edward Smalls on November 27, 1970. She then relocated with her husband to South Carolina where she worked as an CNA at Oakbrook nursing home in Walterboro for many years, and she also had numerous other jobs but her true calling was working with her children. She worked as a mentor for foster care out of Charleston, SC until her health start to fail.
Aurelia joined Mt. Zion AME church in 1978 where she served faithfully as a youth choir director and other positions. Later God moved her to join Wesley Grove United Methodist church where she was faithfully a member until her death.
Aurelia had three sisters Dorothy Leonard, Rose Mae Pearson, Anita Marbury and one brother Willie James Simpson preceded her in death.
Aurelia leaves to cherish her memories her loving Edward Smalls of the home. One son Kevin Smalls of Maine; four daughters Lori Smalls of Summerville, SC, Elizabeth Lambright of Cottageville, SC. Ernestine Joseph of Greenwood, SC . Lutisa Smalls of the home, eight grandchildren, Trenton (Brown) Emoni Smalls, Stefawie Siegrist, Steven Siegrist, Yvette Lambright, Ka’shawn Lambright, Evangeline Joseph, Xavier Edwards, three great grandchildren; Ky’ann Brown, Onyxx Johnson. Two brothers Joseph (Andrea) and James Marbury of Kennessaw, GA. One sister in law; Shirley Taylor. One son in law Ronnell Edwards. A host of nieces nephews and cousins and loving and devoted friends. One special grandchild Morgan Colleton. One special daughter Stacey Nesbitt.
